I have a ton of games for my XBOX and my dad will be pissed if I can't fix it.... I installed the auto installer for 007 and then backed it up....when I restarted it it says service required...call customer support....I am freaking out and I have never done a softmod,I turned it off for now and came here so you can help me....is there anything I can do?

You'll need to provide way more info than this ....

* what auto installer? (there are many)
* is there an error number top left on that service screen?
- If so, what number?
* what tutorial did you follow
* where did that backup go?
* what was backed up anyway?
* does it still boot original games?

I used the SoftMod Auto Installer found from ** Links to Warez, Torrents, XDK produced files, charges fees to roms, and then spams XS ** Extremely Lame **,I don't know where the backup is...my XBOX won't evenm boot up...it is error 21 and when it boots it does the big X and then goes to the error message. I have an Action Replay and a PC.What other info do u need? BTW thanks for the help.

This is not going to work....thanks but man I'm screwed....I can't open my dads computer...not that I don't know how just I have a Mac and a cd burner,the PC is my dads,I put the Action Replay on his computer that is how I did the softmod...

Just to let you know....I can boot my xbox with a CD in,so I put in 007 and went to laod mission,then I go to HD and it says it has no games on the harddrive...so I tried to load it from the memory card and it goes to the same error message. Here is the thing,I can't open up my dad's computer so is there an alternative? also thanks for all the help so far.

Sigh ....

No need to solder, no need for (even free) hdd's, it can be solved within 5 minutes easily.

But as the free HDD has pulled your attention more than the advice, I wish you all the luck in the world with your new hdd!

I'm an ass. Have you tried just telling your dad that there is 200,000 members willing to help you here. Maybe he will let you in his pc. Its not difficult or harmful in the least to use HdM. My parents thought I was a piece of shit when I was growing up but they always respected the truth. Tell him you fucked him up, explain how much you have learned about shit he will never comprehend and he might be willing to help you out. Sorry Im giving more life advice then Xbox advice.
