Sst49lf020 Modchips In Homebrew Fashion

Hello, I was wondering if the SST49LF020 modchips can be wired in homebrew fashion like the 32pin DIP W29C020C, and whether the pins on the 32pin DIP are the same as pins on the SST49LF020.

ex: Does pin32 and pin31 get connected together, and does pin16 get connected to 22 and 24?  This is what I had to do with a 32pin DIP, and I was wondering if i could do the same on a SST49LF020.

Basically, are they the same chip (is wire1 on the SST49LF020 the same as wire1 on the W29C020C flashrom?)

Any help would be nice...

nevermind, easiest thing to do would be the PLCC version of the same winbond chip!

W29C020C in PLCC format rather than DIP...then its pin for pin, same thing.


The reason i want to do it this way is because my motherboard has a PLCC 32pin BIOS chip in there, rather than the 32pin DIP that i had on my old PC.

Now i can program these too...but one more question...

Can these chips be used in Cheapmods? (i am guessing the answer is no)
