how do i flash my modchip without useing evolutionX or a programmer

i have a 512k bank, but evolutionx won't let me flash anything over 256k.
i know evolutionx resizes by bios to fit, so i'm thinking it only accepts 256k.
thats most likely wrong but are there alternatives.

i am' sure it's a 512k bank.

evox resizes the bios file for you when flashing .
You need to post a better description of what you have and what you are trying to do

i have a muppetX (2x512k)
i have M8+(256k) right now
i was told X2 50xx was a much better bios (512k)

evolutionx gives me a size error when i try to flash x2.5035

I thought the Muppet X had 2 x 256 k banks but I am old so my memory may be wrong.
If it does the reason it gives the oversize warning is the 512k bios. It won't downsize the bios for you.
Just checked and according to my findings the bios bank size is 256k so the new X2 bios will not work with this chip
