Wire That I Need To Solder To Led Legs
« on: April 02, 2005, 08:02:00 PM »

I ordered the 8 Leds from ebay it came with the Y Splitter, Two wires. I screwed up one of the wires by trying to strip the wire and now I need to know the exact name of the wire.
Here is the tutorial that uses the same wire that I had what kind of wire is he using?

it doesnt matter if you use stranded wire or not stranded just means t hat it has tiny wires laced together inside the shielding and non stranded is a solid wire inside...

Thanks for the info but I want to follow what the tutorial does. So if I am going to purchase something from them I just ask them for "stranded wire"?

Another source for some good wire, if you are stuck, is the audio cable for pc cd/dvd drives.  They are unneccesary in the computer as digital audio extraction is better anyway, plus its one less wire in you case cluttering it up.  Its usually round 30 gauge and is stranded......
