I dont know anything about any other softmods, but honestly the one in my sig has to be the easiest one.... doesnt require any accesories

Thats why I got confused. I am looking for the solution to mod the xbox without opening the box.

I have following setup:
1) MS Memory Card
2) self made controller with USB connector (for PC)
3) Mechassult original game
4) Action Replay software
5) HIV Drivers
6) ltools_MA_v1.8.rc1.zip (downloaded from usual places).

The last thing I am not sure what version of xbox I am having the following I've got from system info
K:1.00.5838.01
D:1.00.5960.01


Do i require something else before I go ahead.
That tutorial also didn't mentioned that how do I am gonna backup the (I don't know what to say maybe ROM)

Can I just do it without the backup.
If something screwedup Can I un-do those steps?

ok shyboy1....when you unrar the initial file that you downloaded...you get part1.zip and part2.zip.....ok

right.....open the folder containing these two files and then open action replay software..(rem to put your mem card into the usb cable into the pc)

now simply drag each file (press left click of mouse and hold ...then drag it over to "pc database" where the action replay saves are.

once you have done this for both files simply select each of the two files in the the pc databace and drag over to memory card section in AR....they will now be transferred onto your memory card and a progress bar will show when it is completed.

ps...you don't make any zip files or anything ...you drag over the zip files...ie part1.zip/part2.zip

I have got this file "ltools_v1.7.5_SC_NTSC" which has two zip files.

part1.zip and part2.zip

After transfer those files to the memory card.

I have to Go to the gamesave in XBOX (memory card is on the controller).
After all those steps. its gonna ask me to

Choose which UDE to install by which Kernel you have

According to my earlier information i.e.
K:1.00.5838.01
D:1.00.5960.01

I am assumig that I should choose UDE2 right?

Also if something goes wrong, Can I undo-all those steps???
if yes is there any tutorial for that??

I have both games on hand rightnow. Mechassault and Splint cell.
I made sure that the Mechassault is the right version which exploit.

Now ltools_MA_v1.8.rc1.zip I thougt will work with Mechassault.
isn't it?

BTW I don't have the SC file to work with splint cell.

ok my last question again

so all those things i.e. BIOS/PBL-Meeto and EvolutionX are in those zip files (part1.zip & part2.zip).

I mean I just need to choose those right??
or do I have to come back to my PC and put those softwares in the memory card in order to copy over.

Please explain this last step to me. I will really appriciate it.
