Xecuter 4983.67 Help---too Many Partitions
« on: October 10, 2004, 03:30:00 PM »

my 2.3 b pro works fine. i flashed my chip with .67 bios rather than the .06 bios. Now i got like all my games backed up to my new 200 gig HD in my xbox.  but then i realized, u i got so many partitions, which are useless. For example, my F partition is huge. I am using slayers 2.6. My e partition is only 4 gigs, compared to my F parition which is 100+ gigs. Then i got G parition which is about 60 gigs and few other partitions with about 700 megs in each.  i was wondering, what shud i do. my modded xbox works, so i dont want to reflash it unncessarily. Will all these paritions be worse than just one big one?

Pleas help...thanks

leave them as they are.

C - xbox files
E - eeprom stuff i believe
F / G - games / apps / whatever YOU put on there
X, Y, Z - x-box stuff - leave them

if you're using 4983.XX then your x-box must be a 1.5 or below.  should reflash with 4983.06 and you'll have one big F drive which will cause no problems. no need for a G drive unless it's absolutely necessary.

FYI - put your apps on E, and use F & G for all your games / emulators

makes much more sense now.
one more question.

when i disabled my modchip and booted into the regular MS bios and dashboard, i cant get in. It gives me an error screen. Do i have to lock the HD to go into the original MS DASH?

use PxHDD Loader or DVD2xbox - found in the usual places

as for locking the HD, either use Evox or Config Magic
