my xbox is acting up. very strangely.

i was trying to nab all the files off a dvd and copy them to my comp hdd so i could convert it to a divx file.
but anyways, it started transferring. then the speed dropped to 4 kbps, then to 0 and it completely stopped. the first file sends at 4MBps  then it drop quickly over the next two or three files.

i have no idea what's going on?

i thought it could be network problems, reset network, through router, same problem....
tried with 2 NICS.  same problem.

thought maybe dvd disk was fuked.
got a different dvd and i STILL got the same error.

anyone have a solution?

i have a samsung dvd rom almost brand new, so i have no idea what is goign on with it.

the xbox needs to unlock the vob files!.  
so this means, start up the dvd player on xbox and play movie for a couple of seconds, once its going, do an ingame reset,
then log on and download files, it actually works then
