Ya, use an Evox bios that supports yboxdash.xbe for your Evox dash, that way it will boot to that when the mod chip is on, then when you switch off, it will still boot the xboxdash.xbe. Also, if you upgrade your HD, remember to LOCK it afterwords or else switching back to MS bios will give you a service error. (It won't see the HD)
