Ybox is a modified evo-x bios.

The modification changes the bios to load a dashboard called yboxdash.xbe upon bootup.

That's the big difference.

What is it good for?

A bios switch!

You can install The Evolution-x dash as yboxdash.xbe.

With the mod chip "on" Evolution-X is booted.

With the mod chip "off" you get the MS Dashboard.

Boots to MSdash when mod is disabled AS LONG AS THE HDD IS LOCKED!

Ybox is a big deal with XbLive.

Read my posts about XBoxLive Nuking your dashboard.

Ybox eliminates this.

Yes, and of course you rename the files properly.

Re: Switch.

With some LPC mods like the Matrix, you can choose which bios your system boots with (dependant upon the dip switch settings!) by how you turn it on.

Pressing the power button gives you the LPC bios, pressing the Eject gives you the original BIOS.

With other MODs you'll need to install a hardware switch.

mine is flashed with 2.5 but there isnt a mod in there anymore, how do i do it now?

You could always flash the TSOP again.
