You cant ftp into your xbox while in a game because the xbox does not multi task, the ftp server that is used to transfer via ftp is set up by the dashboard or program that runs it, however games dont require the use of a ftp server (for what I beleive to be obvious reasons...). So that is why you cant ftp into your xbox while playing a game.
