How Big Can I Go?
« on: February 03, 2020, 08:06:00 PM »

I'm going to tsop my friends Xbox, he said he wants a 500GB Hd in it.

My question is: can i put a 500GB HDD in, using bios x2_4983.06 or 4983.67?
How big a HDD can be put in a xbox?

Thanks for any feedback.

After reading up on xbpartitioner, it sounds like its unreliable. i quote "This is a fairly ugly and clunky hard disk partitioner" maybe i'll just get a 200GB.  They work with TSOP and x2_4983.06 bios for sure.

Ok.  You use a boot disc (with xbpartioner on it) like slayer evox?  What i'm getting at is, after i do the raincoat flash, how do i go about formatting the 500GB HD?  I usually put in a big (200Gig highest ive installed) and use slayers evox, format the drives and install, simple.

no, xbpartitioner will have to be run separately, you can run it as an app off the E drive

you can do all on F if you want. or F+G, but either way youll have to use xbpartioner

lordvader, when i first put the disc in the xbox its telling me i have to prepare/format it.  Do i let Unleash do its thing, and then use xbpartitioner? or do i setup the auto installer to boot xbpartitioner first.

I'm sorry but really dont want to screw this up.
thx

you can prepare the HD first, but just remember that whatever the autoinstaller puts on F will be lost, easiest thing might be to run the autoinstaller, run xbartitioner, then do the autoinstaller again, lol
