check you flashed the correct bios file for your version of xbox.

the D0 controls where the boot bios is found. if the D0 connection is good then the xbox looks to the LPC for a boot device

fit the adapter and chip and boot using the eject button, wot happens

hey thanks for the reply,

Wether i boot with the eject or the power button its the exact same thing and the same for if the chip is in normal or recovery switch position. just the 3 boot the frag problem.

I did a contimuity check on the D0 line and found it does go to two pins on the adapter which would explain why it having the D0 attached or not doea make a difference. If the problem is the same with or without the chip on the adapter then it looks as though the chip is dead or not responding etc.

had a mate check it in his xbox using his adapter and on his it just always booted to the MS xbox dash, with or without the chip installed.

Cheers
K..

clean the LPC thoroughly, refit the adapter and chip, use the removable D0 loom that came with the kit. plug on end into the chip and connect the blue wire to D0. leave black un connected

OK thanks, ill try it tommorow night and ill let you know.

The thing that gets me though is that it was working I flashed it n it stopped working, even without disturbing the chip or anything. Is there any thing different in the way one bios works over another in the pins they use/ the connections etc taht would show up only after a flash?
