My xbox used to be fine i then took out the dvd drive to put in my other xbox bc the other one broke when i put it back it sais kernel panic. Just for refrence before i had installed wiring for mounting a LCD but it worked after i put the wiring in

Sonds to me like you need to update to the latest version of XOS (2.3.0)

...older version have a problem where the OS will kernel panic if the internel clock loses its time.

Hmm, well, it still could be the clock.. Try booting to the original M$ dash and setting your clock.

sryfor my noobness but if i cant select the ms dash how do i do it?
 take out the chip?

Well i removed the LCD wiring becuase i am never gonna use it any way. I then tryed removing my mod chip when  do that the ms bios give me a unlocked fragin error so i cant reset the clock, plugged the mod chip  back in made sure it was put in place correctly it still give me kernal error.

No i turn on the box and at the top it says theres a kernel panic and it just sits and the lights frag.

ive been researching and it says i need to get to the clock i read cold wilsons post about the capacitator, But i dont understand what that really does and if it helps, i tried takin out the modchip and booting of couse since i have a 120gb hdd unlocked i frag and modchip in i get a kernal panic, if any can explain if coldwilsons post will help thatd be great, Just for everybodys knowledge i have the oldschool xenium i think the first one aka the blue chip so ive heard
