Zenium Ice Question

QUOTE (gunza @ Oct 6 2004, 06:06 AM)
i have a v 1.4 xbox, and am trying to get the ice to work on my xbox.  I am using the solderless install.

I think i have it installed correctly...i even tried the "paper" trick to get all the points to touch.

When i turn my xbox on it turns on, then turns off, then turns on, then turns off and FRAGs.  The chip also flashes red.

Helo is appreciated...thanks in advance!

Sounds like its not installed correctly... it can be tricky to get good contact on all the points and the d0 point...

make sure you have the right d0 too smile.gif

are you turning the xbox on with eject?

do you ever see the XOS?

what position is the switch on the ICE in? it should be over black on black I believe

Yea make sure its in the right d0. Also use some alcohol and a qtip to scrub the d0 / lpc. Try pushing down on the chip and booting up at the same time to make sure its getting full contact. If all else fails, solder.

If you've reinstalled it a million times and nothing seems to be working, switch the switch into recovery mode and see if you get a visual from that, if that doesn't work, maybe ur chips dead.  If you do get a visual then ur bios is prob. dead just go to the xenium website and get the recovery disk made.

wouldnt the led not light up on the chip if i didnt have the correct d0 point?

also, just so i dont kill myself over trying to get it aligned, is the the actual reason its doing this (on off on off on FRAG)?

LED lights up with the chip gets power, not when the d0 works.

There are other pins which need to be correct and also the d0 in order for everything to work right.
