Have you considerd soldering it via pinheader and top D0? You will get much better connections get a friend to solder it for you there are no Xenium ICE clone chips afaik.

you could try re-flashing the OS on the chip burn the OS (I would suggest OS2b2) to a CDR with the file name recovery.bin and flip the little switch on the chip, it should come up in recovery mode, it will just flash at you for a while and then shut off ...

Be sure to take the CD out and flip the switch back before turning it back on.

And you should at least get the Xenium OS menu, if that does not work, and you know 100% that both the box and connections are good, then you might have a bad chip.

btw, just curious what version of box is it?

I hope this helps

I have the same issue with an ICE chip I just got last week, I plug the bad chip in and it FRAG'S.  I plugged in an ICE Chip that was known good and it booted just fine.

i installed it in a V 1.4  and a V1.1

My Xenium ICE looks like the second one ( the sloppy one ) and works perfectly fine. I got mine from divineo.com.

What version Xbox did you install it in?  And how header or solderless?
I tried to install in a few different boxes and I just get a solid red light on the chip and then the box frags.  I plugged in one of my other Ice chips the neat one and it boots just fine...

Any input???

It's a version 1.0 xbox with solderless install.  Im gona request a rma and send it back for a replacement...that is if they don't give me the runaround.

Thanks,

Yeah, im convinced the OS is completely corrupted. The only way to fix this is to get a new one or hotflash (which is risky).
