Odd Anomaly While Playing In Tsop

so i was playing some links last night, original dvd, in the TSOP.  i have my LED for the chip and Xternal LED set to purple.  i look down, and the light was red!  i was still playing normally, i just calmly rebooted and it hasn't happened since.  any ideas on what's happening here?  again, no hangs, no reflashing on boot, nothing..
