don't think the current M8 Bios supports more than 137gb drives.

Ace25 -

So after the Xenium tut didnt help you out, you just did it the way the pics show in this post? (except you soldered the bottom part of the donut ground to the Lframe)

Okie Guy,
Just want to clear something up.

If you have Xenium ICE LFRAME go to D0 on the Chip.
If you have First Xenium Chip LFRAME Go to The ground.

this will 100% work for you guy. jester.gif

Wait, I thought the ONLY difference between the ICE and the regular Xenium is the color. Why does the d0 have to be soldered in different places? They are the exact same chip.  wink.gif

No, as far as i know and comparing with the previous replies. when i put in the xenium ice for my friend. I installed the d0 point to the xcalibur d0 point like stated in the xenium 1.6 install guide then soldered it to the chip's d0 point. it worked like a charm and i didnt get any fragging.

Hope This helps.

Dear Master-Chief.

I am a newbie on modding a xbox.

You said, "Flash MS BIOS in one of those banks to play on Xbox Live".

How Do I extract the MS BIOS(assume that's referring to Xbox Original Bios that came with box) from Xbox?

Or I should download from Xbins.org's FTP site and flash it?

Thanks.

BTW, I think I have v1.6. mfg date is either 5-11-2004 or 5-25-2004. I'm at work, i do not have box with me at this moment. sad.gif

Watch that movie review that was made on the home page.

I would like some confirmation on topic of Xenium ICE and regular Xenium... As Master-Chief stated, I was lead to believe that the only difference was in that of colour and better cut edges... What is the difference with the d0, if any? On the original Xenium's d0 pad, does it lead and connect with LPC 4 on the pin header? And has this connection been severed and lead directly to the BIOS chip on the ICE? Maybe I am talking out of my ass but it is worth looking into.

For all you who can't figure out why I lead the LFRAME from bottom through the hole and grounded on topside, I did this because I had my LFRAME soldered to the d0 on the chip like specified with my motherboard screwed in. When I was told to ground it I ripped it off and screwed it in, easier than taking out board.

My ice finally arrived today.  Just need to head town to radio shack and pick up some torx drivers and a couple ods and ends and I'm ready to rock.

Well i do have both version of Xenium Chip
I don't know what wrong with the Normal Xenium Chip if you don't used LFRAME to The Ground you will got FRAG, It's 100% not boot if you put it on D0.
For Xenium ICE it's Work fine for LFRAME to the D0. If you don't belive me try to test on both Version.
I am sure there is something abit different to Normal Xenium and Xenium ICE Chip.

The change could also be an XOS2beta vs XOS2pre issue too
