I suppose i have a unique situation, i hope im not f***ed, lol.

Recently my XBOX hard drive broke and i will be getting a new xbox, i thought i may be able to mod the old one, i considered soft modding but that proved impossible because i don't have a formatted hard drive (no EEPROM etc.) I have a maxtor D740X-6L (40GB) lying around which was not being used so i figured i could use that (I found out it is lockable!).

I posted on xbox-scene asking what i should do and was advised to get a modchip. I now have a X3-CE installed (i get the FlashBIOS 3.0.1 screen) what do i do now. I tried flashing the bios with the X3 bios, and get FRAGed with errror 09. What do I do now?

I t FRAGS on MS as well and i have a 1.1

It is on Cable Select, but there are no partitions on the HD (it used to be my PC's hard drive). I think that may be the problem, but i do not know how to correct it.

Thanks for the reply, I tried the drive in Master, but it still FRAGS. Can Slayers or Auto-Installer work on the PC? I won't be able to use them in my xbox as it just FRAGS and doesn't respod to any disks.
