Power Button=frag, Eject Button=boot
« on: January 19, 2007, 04:37:00 AM »

I have had SOO much trouble getting this bloody xbox to work. First I tried flashing the TSOP (which ive done at least 30 times before) with no luck. I finally admitted defeat and brought a DuoX2 Blue and cant get THAT to work. When I push eject it boots normally (as it should) but when I press the power button it frags. The chip flashes red and so does the box (on both banks).

I have checked and triple checked the soldering. Anyone got any ideas????

try flipping the switch on the chip. it may be set to the 1.6 bank.

if it still frags, then its the install. contact me via pm, and i will set up a repair for you.

If wanna save cash and not have him repair it, get a magnifying glass and look at your points.  Maybe theres solder splash somewhere.  Try checking your d0 point also.

D0 point is fine. the box boots the original bios and switches to LPC boot with power, so D0 is working. problems lies with the soldering to the LPC. Stick up some pictures of the work
