is there a number displayed on the screen when it says your xbox needs service?

um i think that there is a phone number that pops up but i figured that wouldnt be of any help since it has the x-chip in it i figured it would viod everything....am i wrong?

no sorry.. there should be a really small number in one of the corners of the screen... look for it

Just remember. Some V1.0 Boxes do not display an error number. Mine doesn't. But I have a box I picked for my brother that displays the error number and it's a V1.0 as well.

if you havnt fixed it yet ,try moving the xchip up and down wiggle a little while its the xbox is on, you need ot see the constent red light from the chip , if its not on you get the screen, it happened to me once when i dropped the box, then i made sure the chip was seated all the way and nothing till i moved it up alittle bit, and saw the light come back on,,,,good luck,  if that fails let me know ill help
