411 X-chip Mod On 1.6xbox For Experts

Is all the pin header soldered?  I've read many post where only the 4 wires are aolders onto pin header and thats it.  All pn son pin header mush be soldered.

When you have xchip installed, did you have a 1.6 compatibel biso on it! This is a must!

I am looking at the packing box that came with the XBOX.  It says 120v - 60hz 1.8A
I understand the first two.  What is 1.8A?  That couldn't be a NEW version of XBOX.  Could it?  From everything I see from my XBOX(Xcaliber & power connector), it looks like 1.6.  Anyone?

You can follow the X-Chip Master Install Guide for the X-Lite except on for version 1.6.

The Only difference is that both dips on (X-LITE) switch #1 (small switch) have to be moved to the OFF position BEFORE you install in Xbox.

Also in the master insatll guide it says to solder the D0/LFRAME of the Xbox wire to the D0/LFRAME of the X-Chip. For the X-LITE you solder this wire to the LFRAME (1.6) marking of the X-Lite instead of the D0 point of the X-Lite.

Got it....

All other versions from 1.0 to 1.5 for the pin header install is exactly like the X-Chip as its for the X-Lite.

Hi EasyBuy2000,

I am a little new to the X-chip.  So is there a separate x-chip Master guide for the X-lite and X-chip? Or it's the same guide?  I follow the link from X-lite and found the x-chip Master Install Guide but it's the same one I have been using.  Thanks.

Surfboy,
I suspect may be a problem with flashing too.  I am going to use another computer to flash the x-chip and see what happens.  I tried another x-chip and it did the exact same thing.  Is there a 1.6 bios just for the 1.6XBOX?  I thought someone said something about use the 1.6 BIOS.

The file name you should be using is "xchip_v1.3-1.6box_only.bin" you can not use the Standard xchip_v1.3.bin on a Version 1.6 Xbox

Ok, problem solved.  I had to remove the X-chip off the xbox and flash a full bin, then add the m8.16 bin(1.6only bin).  Thanks for all your help guys.

The X-Lite supports the X-Chip Bios 1.3

You should be using that bios/OS with the X-Lite.

EasyBuy2000,

I don't have the x-lite.  I have the x-chip and after using the 1.6only bin, it's working now.  Thanks.
