M$ Dash Problem
« on: July 06, 2005, 07:52:00 PM »

-X-bit v1.0 installed correctly (I believe, EvoX etc boots)

My problem is when I put the X-bit into Stealth mode (switch 4) and try to boot up the xbox using M$ Dash instead of EvoX dash it just frags. I am using BIOS 6 On Off On Off, when I change the last dash it frags. I took the chip out just a few minutes ago and tried to boot with M$ Dash. and it worked perfectly.

I have installed Slayer 2.6 and did a rebuild of C, made it back to factory and I have also tried the idea of taking files from another Xbox and placing them on mine to overwrite something that may not be working and its still busted.

Any more ideas? The last one I have is to wipe the C partition and then try to FTP

PS My BIOS is M8plus

The easiest solution is just to put the original MS bios onto your xbit chip, then switch to whatever bank you put it on instead of enabling stealth mode when you want to disable the chip.

You can obtain a copy of the original xbox bios from xbins, for more info read up here: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=364716
