Seems to be a common problem im have the same, Good Luck to the both of us, i have a 120 gig hard drive im ready to put in if i ever get the darn thing working!!!

same here well if you chip is hooked up correctally than when the xbox logo comes up where it usually says MS under it it should say Xcuter or w/e u flashed it with, also if you get the dreaded turn on turn off turn on turn off than back on and black screen notafy me because im haveing the same problem and if i dont get an answer ima solder this bad boy into my xbox lol i also have a 120 GB hard drive from maxtor and im dieing to put it in!
