Flash Successful?
« on: December 06, 2004, 03:01:00 PM »

Well, I've flashed my X-B.I.T. v 5 with X2 4983.06 a couple of times and not a single error occured. Then i've tried to install Evox3953, first with an xiso-file containing just the dashboard and the ini-file. The USB-Adapter/Bios-Switch showed a green light but my monitor showed nothing at all.
Is it just due to bad discs (i used rw and r) or is it possible that the flashing-process went wrong somehow?
Thanks a lot!

did you name the xbe to default.xbe on the CD? Evox needs the skins directory

Yes, I did so.
I forgot to say, it's an 1.2/1.3 Box and the DVD-drive is made by Samsung. So it's supposed to read cd-rw, isn't it?
And by the way, the Slayer Installer on cd-rw also didn't work.
I will change the bios-switch, to see whether all banks produces a green light.

Well, I found my mistake. Everytime the d0 was in place, some other pins weren't.
It was just not possible to keep both in the right positions, also the pins are way too sensitive; but there's no way changing that.

Is it better to solder everything or try to solve it with the pinheader-install?
