Xbit Dosent Load Bios

hey badboy if you ever figure out what was wrong with your xbit installing, could you e-mail me because i've troubleshooting my for a week now and i'm bout ready to say F it too.  my e-mail address is [email protected] and if I figure out how to do it then I'll write you back.

Me and others are having the same problem.

The chip seems to be correctly installed, but it doesn't load the bios!

I FOUND THE PROBLEM! take a needle and clean your xDO oin on your motherboard! its that simple!  dont take it rough just a little

they say that you should take a screwdriver and scrape it off but it worked for me with just little scraping with a needle not at all that much..

I guess the big question is if everyone with this problem is using the pogo or soder. Im using the pogo and still have no luck. Im going to have a friend sodder it for me to see if it makes a difference.

Yes how much did you scrape. What I did before was just buff it a bit ill a small nail but I dont think it removed any material. Im going to try it again here shortly.

tongue.gif it works.

What I did was to scrape the connection point with a pin head until it looked a little more copper colored. I did not scrape a lot but it was more than just running the pin around the point something in the middle is what did it.
