So You Have Error 16 Uh?

Can a mod move this to general hardware as there are still so many error 16 questions and still so many *dumb* answers? (noone reads, it seems, pinned topics!)
Thx

Same situation here.  My box had been messing around with me, fraggin and the such.  Error 05 was the case, so I locked my hard-drive in one of the becoming rare occasions that I could get my xbox on.  It was workin until I took my xbox back home with me and I guess it was sitting without power for about 4 hours.  Bad times.  Now I get error 16 when my modchip (X-Ecuter 2.2 Lite+) is off, and a frag with my modchip turned on.  I cannot validate that the D.6 bios works as I have it loaded it on bank 2 of my chip and it isn't "bypassing" any time problem.  I'm pretty much stuck as it is.  My old harddrive has EvoX loaded on it and I'll still try that as a swapping option.  I don't think that it is a dashboard problem though, since I have both the msdash and the evoxdash on my existing hd.  Does anyone know off-hand what the original dashboard xbe was called?  If anyone has the same situation as I do, please let me know your progress.

smile.gif  I seriously wonder why the hell it chooses that number.  I then replaced the original with my 120gb Maxtor and I am presently backing up my new Crimson Skies dvd.  Add me to the success story.  Thanks for the help.

Just to confirm,  the D6 bios works with the Matrix chip to fix error 16.
