NEWARK PART #: 34C7421 DIP Sockets

That's what I ordered along with my chips. The whole package came in yesterday. Total after shipping was $34.17 for 7 chips & sockets.

Took my Xbox apart last night but didn't get to any of the soldering. Was too tired. I'll work on it tonight for sure. I'll post a full rundown of my experience for those interested, including what I bought, how much it was, and any problems I may (knock on wood) encounter.

I have a 29C020, I thought this was a flash chip but after reading this thread I am beginning to think its a EPROM.

I just want to know should I wire it as EPROM or Flash?

You can flash it with a computer.. I have a list of chips and how they can be flashed at my forums..

What's the difference? Is there different ways to wire it onto the XBOX?

The chip rosege has is a flashrom, so why would rosege wire it as a eprom?
