Xiso Question
« on: February 12, 2008, 03:20:00 PM »

I'm trying to take a game off of my Xbox and create a working xiso. I've made several coasters using craxtion 4.0 and xisomanager. I'm using good media, recordnow max disc copy, and burning at 4x. But I can't seem to get a good burn. It always freezes the Xbox when starting a match.

Am I supposed to patch the default.xbe? I would assume so since dvd2xbox patched it when I copied it to my Xbox. I've looked for an answer, but I havn't found anything. The game is MK Armageddon.

whats your definition of "good media?"

also, does it work when you try to run from the original or from the HD?

Yes and Yes. I also made a standard ISO format disc and launched the default.xbe directly through the dashboard. I got the same results doing this and burning from an XISO (mounted with Daemon tools and disc copy with Recordnow Max). The Xbox freezes when on the loading screen at about 80%.

What you need to do is:

1) Transfer game files to pc
2) Patch default.xbe with QWIX
3) Rebuild the iso with QWIX
4) Burn the image at x2 or x4 speed (I use Nero)

I too had the same problem, and this fixed it.
