Any Updates On Nba Live 2006
« Reply #30 on: September 28, 2005, 11:12:00 PM »

Here's my 2 cents. I have both games. nba 2k6 and nba Live 06

I had no problem with nba 2k6 but I also get the dirty disk error with live 06. I've tried all the other options from Chefelf to no avail. I think we're dealing with a protection of sort, because we won't all have dirty disks. So beyond chelelf what options are there?

It seems that every year as we approach the holiday shopping season there's a new copy protection.  The scene first responds by making a patch for a particular game.  Once more games come with the same type of protection, then the scene develops a patcher program designed to be very easy for all to use.  A while later such protection overrides become a part of the new dashboard releases, and the protection is rendered useless for even the dumbest end user (like me), provided that said user downloads an occasional software update.  Then the cycle begins again.  This may be the last go-round of this little dance until Xbox 360.
Just wait for those that are smarter than you and I to figure it out.   :)

Does anyone have newsgroup access? If so check the xbox newsgroups for
 a potential fix.

I am in hicksville, and the local preacher says newsgroups are, " The devil"

That link provides you with a means to search news group archive to determine if a fix exists. And if so the name of that fix so that you may then "google it"

IT DOES NOT PROVIDE LINK TO ANY FILES OF ANY SORT..

Just in case you guys were wondering, the game will work fine from a dvd backup. So if you are worried about "siblings" etc, you can just back it up for now and play it off the copy not the HD until a patch is released. At least this way you can enjoy the game without worrying about the original getting damaged. This is the same exact thing that happened with Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction and a guy in that thread took care of the problem really fast. Not sure what his name is but he is good. Look it up if you want.

I was just curious if those links helped anyone with the dirty disk error? Or if anyone has found a solution to this problem?

I found the patch!!!

j.k.    *dodges various hurled objects*

All of the following are backups....

I'm getting the same error in nba live '06 and nba 2k6.  I'm also getting an error in Midway arcade 3...   it just freezes at the loading screen.

:uhh:   how do i create a new thread?
