Not sure if your fix works for the Hardrive only, but I tested it for use on a dvdr and its a no go.  Not sure what your getting at with your italics, but I'm hoping you need that T at the end of the folder to look like this PlayerCreatorMenuPart  Thats what I named it and all that happened is when the main menu is supposed to come up I just got a blue screen and the backround music going.  Thanks for the advice.  I wish It would have worked on a dvdr.

OK! Here's the fix if you get DDE when trying to start Career mode!

Seems during copy to HDD a directory got named wrong somehow. If you are having this problem, perhaps you had the same problem.

Check in the Media directory for a folder that says PlayerCreatorMenuParMedia, this is in error, this directory should be named PlayerCreatorMenuPart

Renamed this dir and now it works perfect ...

thank you.. this fixed the career mode problem.

That's really good news.  I'll try doing this in another process and see what happens.  That's an awesome find by Fused.  Glad to hear it works on dvd-r.

thanks for the fix fused, worked a treat!

ths is what i did:

i had Top Spin NTSC on a dvdr which gave disk dirty message at career mode, so i created an ISO from the dvdr to my pc hard drive using dvd decrypter in read mode (yes i know, but i find this to work great!!), then i used craxtion3.1 to extract the ISO, from there i changed the  DIR name to PlayerCreatorMenuPart, then i re-created the ISO using craxtion3.1 , then burnt to dvdrw at 1x using nero.

now career works fine and i used a low quality dvdrw that has been used loads of times b4.

hardware: PAL xbox, with enigmah final.

hope this helps you guys

Could a similar fix be used for DDE errors with PGR2?

Thanks

I got a Problem with the PAL Australian Version.  I have backed it up on my xbox HDD and tried
to FTP it across.  Somehow During file transfer- Flashfxp logs out.  It appears that MS has
made the File transfer process disconnect somehow.  I don't no how to put it to my pc's hard drive
now. Stuck.  Sneeky litttle buggers

After renaming the folder as sxplained by Fused, the main menu turns blue and plays the background music.  I tested it on 4 different XBOXs and I got all the same results.  I had the Top.Spin.NTSC-TcH version, extracted it and then renamed, then rebuilt and burned the ISO.  Any help would be apreciated.
