Help Me Find......

a while ago( a long while ago) i found a post about using profiles or something like that to protect features.... You would be able to log out and in using this technique... it would use two of the xml, one for the power user, and one for the non-power user... can you guys help me find this post? just paste the link here please, or tell me the way to do it.
