I'm having troubles keeping my network setting after a reboot.  I got everything working on the first release but after I upgraded to the new one, everything's all messed up.  I'm not sure if its a bug or not.  My IP address keeps going back to 0.0.0.0 after I restart.

No, UnleashX's default date is Nov 15, 2003. That's EvolutionX's default date and it isn't 2003, it's 2002. You can set UnleashX to ask you for a date when it becomes invalid, but only if it was your default dash. By the time you launch it using Evox, Evox already set the date and time for you. And as far as UnleashX is concerned, 1/1/2002 is a valid date, thus, never bothers to set it again wink.gif

I don't use evox at all... I used to untill I started using this
but I was just looking at the screen telling you what time it reset it to
it changes from time to time
just set the box again and rebooted and it set to 1/1/2003 again sad.gif
its only unleash that does it tho.. msdash and evox worked fine

also if u could.. add a way to change the date back to the non US way.. smile.gif

EDIT:
just rebooted and it reset to 1/1/2003 @ 1:00am....go figure

The date format is dependent on the language setting of your xbox. Please try that one out.

Here's the date format according to language setting

           XC_LANGUAGE_ENGLISH:  // mm/dd/yyyy
           XC_LANGUAGE_JAPANESE: // yyyy/mm/dd
           XC_LANGUAGE_TCHINESE: // yyyy/mm/dd
           XC_LANGUAGE_KOREAN:   // yyyy/mm/dd
           XC_LANGUAGE_GERMAN:   // dd.mm.yyyy
           XC_LANGUAGE_ITALIAN:  // dd.mm.yyyy

           XC_LANGUAGE_FRENCH:     // dd/mm/yyyy
           XC_LANGUAGE_SPANISH:    // dd/mm/yyyy
           XC_LANGUAGE_PORTUGUESE: // dd/mm/yyyy
           others: // dd/mm/yyyy

I'm no multilingual, but I'll try to test this when I get home later.

hmm well I have it set to that, and the MS dash has it the correct way?? well the way it is in australia... dd/mm/yyyy
maybe it takes the timezone into account too?

anyway dunno why thats the default date format for english
they should have a setting for the US cos AFAIK majority of native english speaking countries have it dd/mm/yyyy... the US just wanna be different as per usual  smile.gif

AWESOME dashboard!!  I've replaced Evox!  Couple bugs I've noticed tho:
1.  Settings don't always stay after reboot.
2.  Unable to transfer using xFER ISO or Qwix.  xFER ISO connects and extracts for about 30 secs then it just disconnects.

I know people have listed these already but I wanted to re-enforce that they are valid bugs.  Other than that I have nothing but good things to say.  COOL DASH!  I love the icons for the games on the HD.

1. Yes, some settings just refuse to save, as reported by some people already. I'll take a look at it.

2. I'm still experiencing problems with Qwix/xFer. I approached team AVA about this and we had some initial talks already. I'm trying to sort things out before I start talking to them seriously about this, and hopefully, nail this one out.

QUOTE (unleashx @ Dec 2 2003, 06:08 PM)
I've tried selecting several Time zones including Sydney, but keeping English as the language, and MS dash displays it using mm/dd/yyyy format. I changed to Espanol then reboot to UnleashX and it displays it in proper format which is dd/mm/yyyy. I would try Japanese or Chinese but I was afraid I wouldn't be able to turn it back to english biggrin.gif

hmm well the MS dash is working the rite way around for me??
hmm

anyways I don't have time to have a more detailed look into it as I gotta get ready for work, but I disabled the network starting up with unleash and so far time hasn't reset???  smile.gif

if it helps the network settings were
IP - 192.168.69.1
Sub 255.255.255.0
gateway - 192.168.69.70
DNS - 192.168.69.70

the time server was set to 203.16.214.199 but the time server works fine cos I use it on my windows and linux machines
