Ok i just got blackstrom x and i've read the tuts and dunno what im doing wrong....i've put the .xbe and the other file both named default into a Folder on the F drive, and the other blackstorm x folder in my c drive, i edited the config file and put default in there.....all that happens is a black screen and frozen xbox

i have the same prob. i followed kanaberras tut to the LETTER!! ithink its cuz i use live. hooga booga, do u use live? BTW: i can run evox, ava, and unleashX perfect.

don't rename the blackstormxcp.xbe file, leave that one alone
also if the 2 xbe files aren't in the same root as the blackstormx folder is in, the presets (colors for the skins) will not load correctly and will always default to blue
and make sure the xbe name = is set as the same xbe name as your xbe file for bsx and doesn't say .xbe at the end
example xbe name = default

thanx...that helps out a lot.....i don't play live on this xbox any more cuz i got banned.....=( but o well.....stewpid sisters!!!!!

also, it says in the readme that bsx will only run on the root of C:

well the blackstormX folder can only be in the root of the partition, but the xbes can be launched from anywhere and they will work to load the dash

I had the same problem. then i upgraded the bios and it loaded fine
