All you have to do is place the skins folder anywhere you want and make the mxm.xml point like w/ mine::

<Config>
    <Main>
      <SkinsPath>F:\Skins</SkinsPath>
      <RemoveDuplicates>True</RemoveDuplicates>
      <RemoveInvalid>True</RemoveInvalid>
    </Main>

  Notice under my skins path, I have made it go under the F:\Skins? Thats where MXM will look for all my skin folders!! Just that simple!
    Of course theres more in the .xml, but this is what you need to do to be able to add skins to your MXM dash!  Hope this helps ya!!!
