I agree, that's a horrible price.  I got my 160gb for 60 bucks after rebates.

Definitely overpriced.  I got a seagae 120gig for only $70.  Just missed an opportunity for a 200gig for only $99

For $20 more you could get a 250 gig hard drive (including shipping) from a reputable store (never heard of target pc). How much is shipping on that drive, though? It shows up as $74 for me, but you said it's $130 shipped. Anyways, there are MUCH better deals if you watch. I got a 160 WD for $22 from circuitcity, but that was something you had to act really fast on and hope you got lucky. Just search for tech deals sites, they put hard drive deals up all the time.

Why is that such a badd deal. The CHEAPEST HD for 120 GB on pricewatch is 74 bucks just like this one. The only way your gonna get a better deal is if you get lucky with HDs and rebates don't always work too hot.

Edit: I didn't read that 130 shipped thing, I just looked at the website. Yeah 130 is a bit steep, maybe they updated the website because I don't think shipping is 60 bucks.

lookin for a new harddrive for my box and stumbled across this one

120.0GB
5400RPM
2MB cache buffer
ATA/133, OEM

only 130$ with shipping, ive noticed most ppl on here have maxtor, wd, or segate, so is this a good deal? i want 5400 vs 7200 for the lower cost and less heat but will the small cache buffer be ok? and is it lockable(if needed for live)  thanks for the advice  :D

oh BTW IMHO harddrives should have their own forum
