What Version Of Avalaunch

im trying to install avalaunch, im using evox at the moment but was told evox is dated. Ive read the manual but the manual for avalaunch refers to avalaunch 048.

ive d/l avalaunch.0.49.2 multigamedisk and avalaunch.0.49.3 christmas version. Are these the latest versions and if so do they install the same as 048.
