Avalaunch Update = No Internet Connection

I updated avalaunch through the dashboard, including the "update xml" option and now i can't get access to the net for newsfeed etc
i have set the correct ip addy but i keep getting a "xxx.xxx.x.x Err" message on the bottom left of the screen. Can anyone help me set it up again?
(xxx.xxx.x.x the x's represent numbers, just not sure if i should post the ip addy of my xbox on an open forum)

Don't worry about posting that IP address. From the mask you posted, I guess it's a 192.168.0.x address or a 192.168.1.x one. Both of these are standard LOCAL IP addresses, which means you're behind a NAT router. This IP address won't be accessible from the outside no matter what.

What are your current network settings?
