Like quite of few ppl are saying try using the enigmah video mode switch program and burn to a boot cd/rw. If i remember correctly i think ben jeremy had video switching problems in MXM as well a while back and pulled the feature out to fix. Anything to do with eeprom editing I personally try to stay away from. Hope ya fix it.
And thanks for updated dash guys, one of my requests (as others) for WMA support is great for ppl wanting to use there ripped CD's for music.

I just got 0.48.55 and went to install it in my C dir. I made sure that it was called avalaunch.xbe and my evoxdash.xbe stayed as it was. I have the most current X2 Bios but for whatever reason it hangs at the M$ splash screen. When I boot off of my Evox cd and FTP back in and remove avalaunch.xbe I am able to get back to Evox with no problem. Can someone help me out so I can try Avalaunch out? Thanks all.

EDIT: I even tried adding avaluanch as an app and when I went to load it, it just froze at the EvoX boot screen. (I did change the file name to default.xbe to run as an app).

I used a Evox boot cd that I created which will allow you to ftp back in to your xbox and make any necessary file changes.

I'm in the same boat.  Installed 0.48.55 just now and my Xbox won't boot now.  Luckily, I can still boot from DVD (thank you slayers!) and FTP in to put Evox back on.

I tried launching avalaunch.xbe from Evox as well, and I got a black screen.  Couldn't IGR out of it either, had to reboot (IE hardlock).

FYI: I'm running the X2 4981 BIOS on an X2Lite Mod chip.  I also have a 200GB HDD, all on drive F (LBA48).

I'm guessing that Avalaunch might not like my F Drive being bigger than 130GB...

Anyone else have any info?  Please post your system config if you're also having this problem!

@NFC Tinken and Null-Pointer

Try renaming avaluanch.xbe to avadash.xbe Worked for, might work for you.  wink.gif

Thanks but it didn't work.  Tried avalaunch.xbe, avadash.xbe, default.xbe, evoxdash.xbe.  All hardlock the system when launched.

Glad to see it wasn't just me. But how's this for a twist: I can't get it to downgrade either. Tried putting 48.4 back on, and I put it back in C:, but it STILL won't boot. Even deleted the Avalaunch gamesave too. Nothing! Joker, oh Joker, what have you done to me?
