Getting Around Firewalls?

I am running AVA on my box.  I have two nics and run Zone Alarm when im not using my xbox.  I have to turn off Zone Alarm for my AVA to connect for newsupdates or skins, or to play online.  Is there a way to configure Zone Alarm to allow my xbox to access the internet without disabling ZA, or jeopardizing my firewall?  

Zone Alarm detects both connections.  Ive set ZA to see my box as a trusted network, but I dont think that allows my box to access the internet connection.  

Any ideas here?
