Creating A Multigame Iso
« on: May 20, 2003, 07:10:00 PM »

I am trying to make a multigame iso with craxtion and I don't know what I am doing wrong. I am trying to put blinx.iso and bloodwake.iso on one disk.

Here is what I am doing:

1. I used simplex to make an iso of the two games.
2. I open the menu x disk wizard and select these 2 iso's and complete the other steps and start the process.

While it is making the multigame iso a message pops up saying XIMAGE has caused a problem and needs to close. It does this about half way through the process when it starts to put the iso in the folder I selected.

What am I doing wrong? Is using simplex my problem? I do not know what to do.

Thanks

there is no need if you already have the files to create an ISO first.  Just add the folders that you want the MULTIGAME disc to be made of and give that a shot.

I might be able to dig it up, let me check, I will get back to you or you will just see it when you see it.

Thanks for your reply LepPpeR. I tried that, but when i select the folders the games are in a message pops up saying something about the default.xbe file not being found or something like that.

You are talking about selecting the folder the game was ftp'ed to correct?

Also, does gdfimage have to be installed before craxtion will work right? The reason I ask is I have not been able to find this file to download.

example:

Folder
game 1  --->  contents of game
Folder
game 2  ---> contest of game

Just just add each folder (directory).

Note:  if you have version 2.0 or higher you no longer need gdfimage for the application to work.  It uses Ximage (dos-prompt of SimpleX)

I figured out how to select the folders, but I still can't get it to work. When I click the create iso it starts the process but after a couple of seconds a message pops up saying "XIMAGE.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close". I am stuck. I don't know what else to do. I tried redownloading craxtion, but that did not help.

Thanks

I forgot to mention I am using craxtion v21

I do not understand why ximage.exe would fail but you can always try and download GDFimage and switch to that in the options.  You cannot ask for a link to it here for it is copyrighted by MS

LepPper are you there???
I seem to be having problems with making multi games in craxtion 2.1 above 4gb...??? Is this a bug ??? and/ or is there a
solution... I make a game as per usual but when the iso creation completes it is smaller than what it should be.. Extracting the iso shows that the last game was not added to the iso...WTF  blink.gif

Do you have an NTFS file system or is it FAT32.  If it is FAT32 it will not allow more than 4.0 gigs.

Soul Calibur 2                                  1.2 Gig's
Tony Hawks Pro Skating 4                1.5 Gig's

After i make the multi-game iso is says its only 1.27 Gig's

I am using Craxtion 2.0. Any help would be appreciated.

Blinx is like 5gb (PAL) so that is likely your problem there. wink.gif
