EDIT: if still shows, goto /E:/TDATA/080299ff/ and make a file called xmasgreet04 and reboot
that should keep it from showing ever again

Hey I have no complaints at all she is nice and the 4.3 is working excellent. Thanks again.

EDIT: Still shows and the Xmasgreet04 is still there. When I delete the xmasgreet04 it shows the greet text from team avalaunch. With the xmasgreet04 there the picture still shows, but the text no longer comes up. any ideas?

Yeah, I like to get rid of the picture also. There is already a zero byte file "xmasgreet04" in that folder.

create a new .png image and save it as bootimage.png, put this in the same folder or location as your avalaunch.xbe and .xml.

I would hope they remove this soon with a update, or I would think they might be able to do something by looking at the date, I really don't want this still showing a week from now, it's just another wasted step before getting to my dash.

Also, it might not be bad but I'm not a anime nerd who gets off on cartoon teenage girls. I'm sure this message could have been delivered in a little bit of a more tasteful manner, but whatever.

sorry, it does work, was using photoshop and saved as psd instead of png
the bootimage.png method does in fact work.

I wasnt offended by the merry christmas, i love christmas, its a happy fun time of the year.

I was embarrassed that there was an extremely strange rubbishy cartoon that was half naked in an erotic position on my xbox when my parents and gparents were wanting to play a dvd! And it came completely without warning... Ill say it again, not impressed

The bitch wouldn't go for me either. I have placed the bootimage.png in the Avalaunch folder and that shows now but it is all stretched. What is the resolution for a regular square CRT TV?

720x576 for pal and 720x480 for ntsc.

I have tried to remove this picture as well. No success. Renaming of xmasgreet04 does not work. Creating a bootimage.png file and putting it in the Avalaunch folder does not work either. I am desperately waiting for an update that will remove this anime image. Japanese anime nerds might like it, but I don`t. Avalaunch is a great dashboard, but -with all respect to the developers- I don`t like this feature...
