although I've got XBMC, I only use it to play video's/movies, for everything else I prefer UnleashX

exactly! wink.gif ... cause the interface (once u get a quality skin) in UnleashX is better setup for general use when compared to XBMC, as XBMC aint as efficient when going through general menu's... basically UnleashX gets straight to the point where as XBMC u gotta click a extra menu or so before getting to the games menu etc.

XviD Movies are my primary use for XBMC... i do use music once in a while although i usually listen to music on my pc or portable mp3 player etc.

WOW amazing results here. Avalaunch doesn't beat XMBC for playing videos.

I have my XBMC configured to auto-run DVD's in DVD-X2 which functions perfectly as a dvd player.

its my main dash, its beautiful, etc.

I still use Avalaunch as my default dash but thats just because I like the way the games menu is set out. For everything else its XBMC all the way.

I changed my mind. The newest version of XBMC is now my dash. Its too fecking good!, I dont know why anyone would use anything else as their dash  biggrin.gif

Evox is my dash.  I use it to load games and apps but XBMC is for everything else.  Even my wifey uses it.  We love it.

XBMC is the main Dash for it's fantastic audio / video options with links to AVA, EVOX  and UnleashX for their kick a$$ utilities.

XBOX 36 wha?  My Media Center is better than yours!!!   cool.gif

I use XBMC as my main Dash. Anyone can use XBMC. It's just so easy for guest to use.  I use UleashedX to download save games, and a few other things. I would use ava but qwix works great with XBMC!!!!

XBMC complicated? If you can mod an xbox I don't see how you can think XBMC is complicated.

its complicated in teh way it goes about doign things. thats what i love about unleashx.

dont like the menu structure? then you can change it. i have. the menus in ux on my xbox are nothing like what they are standard. i have everything organised to how i want it.

i dont think you can do that with xbmc, at least not anywhere near as easily as you can with ux

It's as easy as editing the xml config file.

yeah, but its the nigglies things that shit me.

its just the program, and they way it makes you do things, doesnt suit me. UnleashX is the best dashboard goign around (in my opinion). XBMC is great, to that there is absolutly no doubt. but it is that. Xbox Media  Centre.

Its an app for playing media, not for being a dashboard.

I have had customers want there boxes modded just to have XBMC as there dash. Its one of those rare programs that offer lots of options to pros and offer idiot proofness to non pros, if you get my drift. The argument here is between people who just use their modded xbox for games and those who use it for a media center. A year ago i found myself starting my xbox with unleash just to navigate to xbmc more than anything else. i had one of those "DUH" moments and quickily set XBMC as my dash and could not be happier. It is the ultimate dash because it does more things than any other dash. If people still want unleash for its saves manager or what ever thats fine, the question you have to ask yourself is am i using my xbox more for media and regular game play or am i using the unique features of other dashs more; and set ur main dash accordingly. To call XBMC an app not a dash is dumb. It is a dash as much as any other one, its just a matter of what you use your xbox for.
