Last Call For Ps3's With Fw<2.10

Just to warn you that brand new PS3's (european bundle uncharted+psnfs+2sixaxis for exemple) have firmware 2.01 onboard...

Next ones will be 2.10 and it will be over for free homebrew based rsx fun...
(unless your a pro in soldering and don't care about warranties)

I don't understand why they limit access to the RSX chip in firmware updates.

I do understand they don't want people running copied/pirated games.

But cutting off MAJOR 3d acceleration from everyone that wants to use linux "fully", that's a low kick.

European MGS4 requests a 2.20 firmware upgrade.
That means people who still want to play with RSX access and also to play with MGS4 are compeled to purchase a secondary PS3 or drop RSX.
Unless some trick gets discovered allowing us to play without upgrading... (but I doubt it exists)
