blah, 2.0 fw whos upgrading, im not.

Main function updated in system software version 2.0
- Network
Internet browser added
* Macromedia Flash is not supported. A part of the web pages might not be displayed correctly
* The startup of the internet browser can be limited.

- Video
Jump function added (UMD Video & UMD Music)
A-B repeat function added (UMD Video & UMD Music & videos stored in Memory sticks)
"4:3 mode" added to Video mode (videos stored in Memory sticks)
Sound mute function added (videos stored in Memory sticks)
MP4 (AVC) format playback support added (videos stored in Memory sticks)

-Music
Can accept music tracks in Atract3 Plus format from "Sonicstage" under version 3.2 (now for pre-order)
MP4 (AAC) & Wave (Linear PCM) format playback support added (music stored in Memory sticks)

- Photo
Wallpaper function added
Image receiving function added
TIFF, GIF, PNG, BMP format supported

- Settings
"Korean language" added to "system settings" -> "System language"
"Character set" added to "system settings"
"Theme settings" added
"Internet browser startup limit" added to "Security settings"
"WPA-PSK (TKIP)" added to security method in "Network settings"
Keyboard now support web input.
* All the setting before the upgrade will be preserved.


basically only two things useful that they've added that we already have biggrin.gif

It's a neat set of new features, would I give up the ability to use hombrew software for them?
No, but it's still a neat set of features. On the good side, people with systems with 1.51 or higher firmware and want to customise thier PSP's backrounds now can.

because of a lot of new features ... it will open the door for other exploits

yeah once they hack the 2's then it will be good to us

and now it would be better not to attempt to hack the 1.51 and 1.52 because if you hack the 2.0 then you can just upgrade to that


but it would always be good to be open to everything

i would like to have the white psp... it would go along great with my xbox 360, that i'm going to get. but as for the fw update... not a chance.

I just upgraded mine to 2.00 jap multipack and its great. Im glad i updated, the internet is nice, and being able to change the background is a must. I just hope in the future psp will support more media formats (divx, windows media, etc)

BTW for those in the US who want 2.00 now here it is

click tri-angle, and make the picture on what you want it to look like, then get the menu up agian, and then on upper right, from left to right, the second one is the one you want to click it on it, then it will give you a screen for it.
