Domain Member Removal
« on: June 28, 2007, 11:37:00 AM »

Ok a few years back my moms computer was a part of my network and part of my domain. Since then she has moved and I have redone the DC (only one, no cluster). Now she is now living in FL and I'm in WI she also has no Internet.

Is there any way to remove the computer from the (nonexistent) domain with out reinstalling windows or at least set a service to run automatically? I need to enable the Remote access connection manger so she can get dial-up working.

Yes, just go to system in control panel and set it back to some random work group.  The computer may require either the local admin, or domain admin and pass to do it but that will get you fixed right up. I have to do it regularly with PC's on my domain at work.
