Under-belly Of The Beast

is it easier to solder the magic3 chip from te bottom side of the board or do it on the top. the top was impossible for me espically on those little tiny pins right next to each other, i couldent do it! i need a way to get this damn thing in! are there ay places that do soldering(i live in mass.)?
