This is what I have so far in my car. I still have to cover the two top spots that are open behind the xbox and cap. I still need to carpet it also.

What I would like to know is, the xbox won't slide back anymore to sit flush so should I leave it like that of should I build a little box arround it to conceal the sides and top?

Build a new box, yours doesnt seem to be maximizing space.

or get a car with a bigger trunk.

you might want to rethink positioning your xbox like that. from what I've read, it seems that the best way to position the xbox in a vehicle is vertically, otherwise, the platters on the hard drive get scratched and your xbox will die

I have had my xbox in my other for years. It was sitting right next to my sub and I lived on a really bumpy dirt road. I have never had a problem what so ever. So I am not worried about that.

It's aluminum. Just that one sub hits harder than any two subs that I have ever heard. It is on.ly running at 600w too but it can handle 1200w. Eclipse is my brand of choice when it comes to subs. I have a house stereo that had a Kenwood sub and I replaced it with an Eclipse one and damn its like 10 times louder.
