Buying A 360, Advice Please
« on: December 03, 2005, 08:47:00 PM »

Hey,

I was thinking of buying an Xbox 360 right after Christmas, and am wondering if there are any "essentials"?
Xbox.com has a list of over 25 games that will be out this holiday season.

Is there like a killer-app type of game yet, or are we all awaiting Halo 3?

Just a little advice or opinion please, don't flame!

Project Gotham 3 racing is by far the best racing game I ever saw. Perfect Dark Zero, great FPS online.

Perfect Dark Zero get it, if you can get a system, it is a great game.

hah, yea IF I can get one, true.

I will probably pick up PDZ, and maybe Oblivion or Full Auto. I was browsing GameSpot's 360 section, and PDZ has the highest rating yet, with a 9.0. It does look like a solid FPS, and can keep me busy online until Halo 3.

COD2 and PGR3 are must haves

PDZ is ok , for halo players it kinda sucks because of the no jumping...

Go for perfect dark zero. I myself am a halo 2 fan, and I love this game, they both share the same shield system. Lol, to think about it, ever since halo came out lots of games copied the two weapon selection and shields recharging. Weird.

the lack of jumping would be weird, seeing as I play halo every day and am so acustomed to jumping.

anyway, how does jumping make you a noob?

Goldeneye and PD64 didnt have jumping, and they were great games. The only thing that sucks now is when youre up against an opponent who has explosives, harder to stay alive  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

i dont like the idea of no jumping, but the programers were probly tring to capture the greatness of goldeneye and perfectdark64, never had goldeneye but it was still awesome everytime i played it and perfectdark64 was ahead of its time.  The multiplayer droids made the game never ending and the weapon seletion was spectactular.  If zero is anything like 64(which someone who has played both can comfirm) it would be worth the 50 bucks(think about that, its 10 bucks cheaper than all the other game).  Limited editoin is waste of money.  Just like halo2LE

Didnt say your a noob if you jump, I said noobs use jumping to escape. I personally use jumping alot to get on hard to reach places on halo 2.
