Can I Use X-linx Without A Router

can i use xlinx without using a router. i just want to connect my xbox strait to the net to use xlinx. if so please tell me.

your xbox has to be connected to your computer, your computer has to be connected to the internet, its that simple.

if you have 2 nic cards in your computer u wouldn't need a router.  You could also just use a hub and it should work.

 BS. He still need a router to connect to internet. I'm sure he has got one, he just don't know.

 How are you connected to the internet if you don't have a router?

 Heh, if he doesn't have a router, as he says, the problem isn't connecting the Xbox to the computer, hub, or switch. It's how he's going to get it online.

You use a crossover cable when you haven't got a hub or switch, and/or for some reason want to/need to connect it directly to the computer.

Router has nada to do with the connection between computer and Xbox.

I use a USB modem for my Broadband and have two nic cards and a crossover cable between xbox and pc. works gr8.

just my 2c.
