Xbox Rrod Overheating
« on: December 19, 2010, 04:09:00 PM »

i fixed my xbox about a year ago and up and till now its been fine! now it rrod, i overheated the board and it worked for about ten minutes then froze and came up with a rrod

now i removed the board cleaned it all and placed it back together reheated the board and wolla works fine again for 10 minutes then overheats again rrod, fans are working perfectly fine. So again i dismantled the xbox again now i overheated it again now left the plastic casing off and wollah! it works spot on now been playing cod black ops for about 3 hours and its spot on! what is the biggest cause?

i was wondering if there is some sort of mod to replace the heatsink and fit a fan to keep it cooler ive been looking into replacing the back to fans and fitting 2 more 40mm fans inside. One sucking air in and one pushing out.
